Canadian internet personality, young rapper Lil Ty, has issued a statement following rumors of his death.
Yesterday, concerns arose among Lil Ty’s fans when a post appeared on his Instagram page, announcing the deaths of him and his brother.
The young social media personality Lil Ty has confirmed that he is safe and alive. He explained that his Instagram account had been hacked, and it was used to spread “misleading false information” about his and his brother’s deaths.
In a statement provided to the media by Lil Ty’s family, Lil Ty said, “I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I am deeply hurt and trying to find the right words to address the news of my death.”
He further mentioned that the past 24 hours have been very painful for him.
Lil Ty expressed gratitude to Facebook and Instagram’s parent company, Meta, for assisting in the recovery of his Instagram account.
It should be noted that Lil Ty is based in Los Angeles, although he has connections to Canada. He has more than 3.5 million followers on Instagram.
